Our story

Just a little about us

We are a husband & wife team, Errol & Kaye Ziser, “Living the Dream” on our farm located approximately 1 km from Beerburrum in the picturesque Glasshouse Mountains.

We purchased our farm in 2001, which once formed part of the original soldier settlements in the Beerburrum area.  It was a somewhat rundown poultry egg farm with lots of old established custard apple trees which had been seriously neglected.  But we had a vision and after many years of sweat & tears restoring the farm to productive land, we set about growing various tropical fruits.  Custard Apples being our first variety of fruit and we continued to add others, including figs, dragon fruit and predominately passionfruit which was the only fruit we continued to grow up to December 2023.

Time for a change………

With retirement on the horizon and the desire to remain farmers we decided to act on an idea we have had on our minds for the past 10+ years.  So finally, we thought it was about time the Sunshine Coast and in particular the little township of Beerburrum should have their very own Christmas Tree Farm.  In June 2021 we began planting our first Christmas Pines and over the past 2 years nature has thrown its challenges.  But as they say

“You don’t get rainbows without having some rain”

Some might say, why Christmas Trees when we are surrounded by pine tree plantations in the middle of the Beerburrum State Forest? The variety of pine trees we grow and manicure are purposely bred for the traditional Christmas tree.

In December 2023, we started to harvest and sell our fresh cut and potted Christmas trees, all grown on our farm at Beerburrum. There was much excitement amongst our Christmas loving families to be actually able to pick your very own tree and see it cut down and netted, ready for the trip home.

Choosing your very own fresh Christmas Tree is an experience that will delight the senses and will help each and every person to feel the magic of the Christmas Spirit.
